Introduces some quality Web sites for scholarly information in the performing arts. Covers a variety of topics of relevant to students with very little knowledge of scholarly resources. The quiz at the end summaries the concepts well. The last part "Success stories" is a great way to reinforce the concepts.
Concerns:
Not very well organized. Too broad of introduction to the concepts. Will be hard for students to actualize the teachings into a practical approach.

Provides opportunity for hands-on demonstration of a search in different search services with feedback on the results. Quizzes help test knowledge of concepts. Student examples help put the teachings into context.
Concerns:
Some of the concepts presented do not have practical implications. A list of Web sites in the performing arts is not helpful to students with specific research topics. The evaluation section provides general guidelines, but doesn’t provide specific examples that will allow students to make key distinctions. The section labels—Welcome and Tour—are not very clear as to their content. The “Try Google Web Search” feature didn’t load in the embedded window using the Google Chrome browser.

Concerns:
On the starting page, under “What does this tour cover?” the four sections are not linked. The heading titles within each section are too vague. Having the subsection navigation on the right side of the screen isn’t as noticeable as other locations. Tutorial is primarily text based and minimally interactive.
