Anatomy of the Nervous System
This lesson is focused on educating students on the anatomy of the nervous system. It forms a part of the grade 12 syllabus for Biology.
Students pursuing this lesson have as their prerequisite the lesson on Cellular Biology.
This lesson will be taught using constructivist and connectivist approaches.
By the end of the lesson the student will:
Be able to identify the components that comprise the nervous system
Be able to summarize the major functions of the nervous system
Be able to explain the role of the nervous system as it relates to the human body
Summative assessment using an essay to ascertain the knowledge of student in regard to the role of the nervous system as it relates to the human body
Formative assessment using mind-mapping to ascertain the knowledge of student in regard to the anatomy of the nervous system
