This is an interactive map that shows the world on a flat map. One selects from the following major topics: People, Planet, Business, Politics, and Living. Within each of these major categories are subcategories and sub-sub categories. For instance, Under People, one can select Demographics, Causes of Death, Education, Health and Religion. Within each of those are further subcategories, i.e. Demographics yields Population, Children, Aging Population, Urban Population, and Rural Population.
When one of these is selected, the World Map changes to reflect the changes in country size for that particular criterion. For example, for Population, the U.S. shrinks and India and China become relatively larger. This is a great way to illustrate global differences in these issues.
