Virtual Radiation Laboratory

The virtual radiation laboratory is a set of javascript programs that allow the user to simulate the detection of nuclear radiation and to analyze the data.   There are 4 virtual detectors:a Geiger Counter,NaI gamma detector, a high resolution Ge gamma detector, and a liquid scintillation detector.  For each instrument there is a picture of the real detector, instructions on how to use the programs, and suggested experiments that can be performed with the virtual detectors.  Analysis techniques include peak fitting as well as detector energy and efficiency calibration.  Sources include calibration standards and environmental samples.
