The Science Behind the Duck
Come join Kids Imagination Discovery Station Preschool in learning about the wonderful world of those lovable spring animals....Ducks!

Preschoolers learning about the life cycle of a duck is an amazing learning experience! From egg to baby duckling, they learned so much about this wonderful bird! We learned about the movements inside the egg, what temperatures were safe for hatching and the process of incubation.

The children are able to do a live field study of the ducks, their habitat, how they adapt to their environment, and also help to feed them as well. We will constantly be able to learn about these amazing animals.
We all were able to adopt a duckling and name it as our own! Check out the cute names these clever students came up with all on their own...

Duckling Release
Releasing the ducklings was the hardest part of learning about them for the children.
We released them onto our back pond so the good news is that we will get the opportunity to continue to watch them grow and live in their own habitats.
Our ducks cannot fly, so they will have to become a part of their habitat to survive the winter months successfully.
