Work Experience
I worked at Highland Pizza in Evansville Indiana over the summer and I had many duties that I was a part of. I was a server, cashier, sandwich maker, pizza maker, cleaner, dishwasher, etc. The job taught me people skills and not to mention, being fast pace while still trying to please the customers. One thing I did realize and learn is that it is very hard to please every customer. However, it is important to be kind and have a positive attitude at the workplace.
I also worked at His Light Child Care Ministry in Poseyville, Indiana in May 2019. This job had a lot of duties. I was in the infant, toddler, and big kids room. I worked with all ages and had to teach and incorporate faith into my teaching. I was considered a teacher assistant. However, sometimes I would be alone. My roles also included coming up with games, activities, and lessons. The job taught me people skills, especially with talking to the parents. Not to mention, it also taught me how to become a leader.
I have also worked at Epworth Childcare Ministry in Newburgh, Indiana for about a couple of months. This job taught me a lot about leadership skills. I was in charge of a big amount of kids. I worked with infants, toddlers, pre-schoolers and big kids. I worked with all ages and also incorporated faith into my learning lessons. I was technically considered a teacher assistant, but a lot of the times I would be alone. My roles included coming up with crafts, games, lesson plans, and activities for the kids.
I am currently working at Holy Rosary Catholic School. I work in the school cafeteria and also the after-care school program.
