Taking Action: The City of London
The City claims that their actions were conducted reasonably and in accordance with the MOE’s orders, issued under the Ontario Water Resources Act. They state that Jenkins, the contractor, has taken full responsibility for the spill, and that they have since committed to fully remediating the impact of his accident. They argue that this has met their duties under the law, and that they bear no fault in any event for the damages.
