Proposal Summary: At the Cal State LA campus, we proposed to contine the campus' hybrid development efforts. We also aimed to get an additional 3 fully online courses QM certified, as well as get 5 hybrid/blended courses QM certified. Funding was also requested to collect data from students and facutly in hybrid courses.
MERLOT II
MERLOT is a collection of free and open online teaching, learning and faculty development services contributed and used by an international education community. The MERLOT collection of open resources spans across a wide variety of disciplines and education levels. What sets MERLOT apart is a combination of peer reviews, member comments, learning exercises and other valuable information and metadata associated with the materials.

Background on Quality Assurance Efforts
Previous QA efforts include the following:
- A total of 56 faculty trained in CETL's Hybrid Development Program between Fall 2015 and Fall 2018
- Over 125 hybrid course sections offered between Fall 2015 and Fall 2018
- A total of 231 QA workshop training completions to date
- Development of a Hybrid Moodle Template aligned with the QM (and QLT) rubric standards
- 57 faculty who have completed CETL's TECH (Technology-Enhanced Certificate Holder) program which means they have completed at least 6 Moodle/ed tech (e.g., Turnitin, iClicker, Zoom) workshops.

2017 -2018 Successes
- Succesful launch of the Canvas LMS to start Fall 2018
- Worked with 23 faculty to develop new Hybrid courses to be taught Fall 2018
- A Working Group launched to help address the accessibilty of instructional materials used in the LMS.
- Development of a new Hybrid/Online video that showcases the process for QA online course design.
- Developed a CETL work space for faculty to address any accessibility issues for their instructional materials.

Next Steps for Quality Assurance for 2018-2019
- As the campus migrates to the Canvas LMS: transition QA best practices to new Canvas workshops; develop a Canvas QA template; and add Canvas Commons content to share QA best practices across campus and with the large Canvas community.
- Develop a Fully Online Course Development Program to create 10 new fully online courses per semester
- Get another 3-5 already developed Hybrid courses through QM review
