Work Experience

I currently work in an assisted living home as a Certified Nursing Assistant.  In this area of work, I am able to practice working one on one with residents. I help to ensure that all residents daily needs are met, and ensure their safety and well-being. I work with the nurses, residents, and families to help create and implement a care plan that best fits each resident with their personal preferences in mind. Being a CNA has shaped my view that care that is patient or resident centered is the most effective. I will be able to use this mindset in the future to understand that every individual has different and specific needs and a one size fits all approach is often not an effective method.
