Service & Leadership

Leadership

I gained leadership experience as president of the University of Southern Indiana’s (USI) Food and Nutrition Student Organization (FNSO).  My colleagues and I worked together to promote our club at university events, community service opportunities, and national campaigns such as National Nutrition Month.  We are proud to work closely with the Southwest Indiana Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (SWIAND) through continuing education workshops.  As a former Secretary of a Parent Teacher Organization, I helped plan school dances, student activities, and teacher appreciation initiatives.  We integrated local and national causes into events to generate community support.
