Service and Leadership

I have always taken pride in volunteering in my community. Throughout high school, I was a part of many clubs devoted to giving back to the community. My favorite that I was involved in was Key Club. I was the class representative of this club for three years in high school. I used this position to lead my peers and get them involved in volunteering along with organizing events. Some volunteer opportunities that I took part in were cooking meals for the homeless and serving them, making trauma dolls to give to police stations, and participating in canned food drives. I plan to become more involved in college, but I am just not starting to work on that. I joined the Sustainability Club here at USI and hope to become more involved in that along with other organizations here.
