Topic 4: UDL and Learner Goals

Leaner goals define the expectations for knowledge, skills or outcomes of instruction. Properly constructed goals are the cornerstone of quality design and instruction. The UDL approach will help you create clear learner goals and support the development of learner agency that is purposeful & Reflective, resourceful & authentic, strategic & action-oriented. Effective learner goals informed by the UDL framework consist of three key components: separating the means from the ends, addressing variability in learning, and providing UDL options in material, methods, and assessment.
