8 Who is considered the “father of robotics”?

Exercise

Robotics is an interdisciplinary branch of computer science and engineering. It involves the design, construction, operation, and use of robots that can help and assist humans. Robots can be used in many situations for many purposes: manufacturing processes, space exploration, human prosthesis, or robot-assisted surgery. And some of them resemble humans in appearance. The automata can be considered the predecessors of robots. The idea of automata originates in the mythologies of many cultures around the world. Engineers and inventors from ancient civilizations attempted to build self-operating machines, some resembling animals, and humans. One of these ancient engineers is considered nowadays the father of robotics.
