An island is a piece of land completely surrounded by water. There are many islands around the world. Trinidad and Tobago is a country made up of two islands.

An islet is a very small island. It cannot hold too many people and does not have the ability to plant much crops. There are also smaller islands called islets around Trinidad and Tobago such as:
Goat Island in Tobago
