Hello, welcome to my e-portfolio

(a work in progress)

My name is Karen and I am 51 years young. I am a second semester college freshman at University of Soutern Indiana where I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in the field of dietetics.

I have been married to my wife, Robyn for 15 years. Between the two of us, we have two daughters, one son, and six grandchildren.

When I'm not at school or focusing on my studies, my favorite pasttime is planning fun events for my grandchildren and keeping them for Friday night sleepovers. I also enjoy Sunday afternoon rides on our Harley and our yearly trips to Clearwater Beach, FL.

I've always had a passion for nutrition and old fashioned, natural home remedies. The Native Americans and the Asians have known for centuries about natures healing powers and how beneficial certain rituals and activities are on the mind, body, and spirit. I want to revisit these old traditions of healing and examine the healing properties found in nature that God blessed us with.

Mission Statement

My future mission is to utilize my expertise and expand upon it by furthering my education in areas such as reflexology (foot therapy) and Reiki, which is healing hands. I would like to collaborate with other professionals in various areas of alternative healing therapies and start a practice that will provide healing for the mind, body, and spirit.
