MERLOT provides instructors with a rich set of search tools to find learning materials readily usable in their curricula. These are:
- MERLOT's "Simple" (keyword) search of its repository of almost 100,000 curated learning materials.
- MERLOT's Advanced (Boolean) search of its library
- Direct, keyword Smart Search of 50+ "Other Libraries" and of the World Wide Web

MERLOT Portals

The MERLOT collection consists of are peer reviewed materials catalogued in many ways including academic discipline, similar to those in college catalogues.

MERLOT academic disciplines are maintained by a subject matter Editor and editorial board of peer reviewers who ensure the content quality.

There are 25
Community Portals, each with unique content maintained by discipline experts. These include:

  2. Information Technology
  3. General Engineering.
