Ashanti Edwards

Ashanti Edwards is the Director of Professional Development at ASCB. In this role, she is responsible for the professional development and diversity and inclusion programs at the society. She is the Co-PI on multiple grants, including an NIH IPERT grant, an NIH MOSAIC grant, an NSF grant, and a private grant from the Moore Foundation. All of these programs support historically excluded people in the sciences. Ms. Edwards also serves as the staff liaison to multiple committees at ASCB, including the Minority Affairs Committee, Women in Cell Biology, the Committee for Postdocs and Students, and the LGBTQ+ Committee. She is thoroughly experienced in program development, recruitment, professional development, and support towards career advancement.
