"Creative Writing Pedagogy: An Annotated Bibliography" is a text researched by ESU Graduate Creative Writing Students at Emporia State University. This text is designed to provide a thorough exploration of creative writing pedagogy, theory, and practices. This text provides:
- An overview of the principles, methods, and philosophies of creative writing. The graduate students explores a variety of trending resources that explore the role of the instructor to discussing strategies for fostering creativity in students.
- A review of the tet Power and Identity in the Creative Writing Classroom: The Authority Project by Anna Leahy. Students in this course read this text as a class and as a group annotated assigned sections.
- A list of annotations for creative writing texts available on the market for single-genre (creative nonfiction, poetry, etc.) and multi-genre. Each annotation provides a concise summary of the text's content, highlights its key features, and offers insights into its pedagogical value.
- A list of annotations for over 20 peer reviewed journal articles covering a wide range of topics such as curriculum development, assessment practices, and the integration of technology. These annotations offer valuable insights into current research and best practices in the field.
