In 1999, the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) adopted two policy statements, drafted by a Special Committee on Distance Education and Intellectual Property Issues. The special committee also published documents with suggestions and guidelines for chapters and individual faculty members as they negotiate institutional policies and contract language in these areas. This site contains links to these documents and subsequent updates.
