Topics

Friction, Acceleration, Acceleration Due to Gravity, Net Force, Gravitational Potential Energy.

Learning Objectives

Students will understand how to calculate the acceleration due to gravity from the net force and mass of a cart.

Students will understand that vectors can be split into components.

Students will undertsand that the acceleration due to gravity is constant.

Students will understand how to calculate propagations of error in their measurements.

Assessment

Students will use an online simulation to complete a lab to determine the acceleration due to gravity, g, experimentally.
