Exercise
Problem-Solving Conf.: Read the article entitled “Incorporating Western Territories” located at:
http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/collections/continental/territ.html . Analyze the portion of the Treaty of Paris (1783) where Britain relinquished a large portion of land west of the Appalachian Mountains to the United States. Determine how the United States should incorporate the territory. Be able to make recommendations on how it should be used and governed. Be able to defend your recommendations. Post to the discussion board. Class should vote on the best recommendation.
