In the future we will attempt to live on Mars by trying to create a miniature little biosphere, where plants convert the carbon dioxide that astronauts breathe out back into oxygen the astronauts can breathe in. But the balance is going wrong. Your students will learn as they try and solve this mystery

Exercise

Have students work in pairs to solve this mystery. 1.Each group should take
notes on the information given as they work through the mystery.
2. Groups must indicate whether their information is fact or opinion.
3. Students must explain their reasoning on how they solved the mystery.
