Bookmark Collection

This collection provides digital resources that can be used in a secondary music classroom to develop students' musicianship through music theory, ear training, composition, beat-making, listening, cultural exploration, and creative projects. The resources could be incorporated into ensemble classes, general music, music technology, songwriting, or other secondary music courses.The collection supports Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion by recognizing that students enter the music classroom with different levels of formal training, cultural experiences, learning preferences, abilities, and access to technology. Rather than defining musicianship only through traditional notation or performance skills, these resources provide multiple ways for students to engage with musical concepts and demonstrate what they know. Several resources also represent musical traditions and communities that have historically received less attention in traditional school music curricula.
