This is a very interesting source for someone who already has a grip on musical notation. You are kept interested throughout a possibly dry subject through visuals and detailed but precise descriptions that take you through the history of the art form. Recommended for High School students and anyone else interested in this field. You are also taught through the perspective of a modern music reader (meaning that it is taught through the recent changes that have happened in musical notation as a result of 20th century composers such as John Cage.
