The Research Success Tutorial Suite is a collection of bite-sized, interactive tutorials designed to provide students at Austin Community College with an introduction to essential information literacy concepts. Each tutorial includes practice activities and a built-in assessment in the form of a printable, multiple choice quiz which students may turn in for credit. The suite employs engaging graphics, images of actual ACC students, everyday examples and analogies, and humor to appeal to students. Each module can be completed in 10 to 15 minutes. The seven modules in the suite are: Choosing a Topic, Identifying Keywords, Academic Honesty, Finding Background Information, Evaluating Information, Finding Books and E-Books, and Finding Articles. Additional modules will be added to the suite as they are completed.
The modules may be completed in any order, and the user may choose one or all of the modules according to the learning need. The modules could be assigned as homework, used in the flipped classroom, or used as self-study modules for beginning students or returning students who have not used the library in several years.

Ease of Use for Both Students and Faculty
Rating:
Strengths:
The visual elements, humor and interactivity of the tutorial are very engaging. The quizzes helps the user check their understanding of the content, and can be used to turn in as an assignment. The interactive elements of the tutorial helps users set their own pace and are engaging. Users can retry a quiz, start over with a module or continue where they left off in a module.
Concerns:
There is no feedback to indicate why an answer is wrong in the quizzes or the interactive activities. If you can’t figure out the answer in the interactive activities, there is no built in help or hints for you. Since you have to get the answer right to continue, some students may not be able to continue on their own. A large print script is provided for accessibility, but real time audio or other options might be more helpful. There is no link back to the tutorial suite once you complete a module.
