Videos on the Office Suite are up-to-date; they cover Office 2013 applications. Coverage is illustrated and accurate. Videos are self-contained. Each can be used separately or in combination. Labs are available to reinforce lectures. Later lectures in a series start with a review of the prior lecture.
The "landing" page where the video resides is cluttered and the additional videos/icons on the page make spotting the target video somewhat difficult.
Potential Effectiveness as a Teaching Tool
Could be very effective if the navigation of the videos was more clearly presented.
The length of the videos varies from less than 10 minutes to more than 40 minutes; most are in the middle. The longer ones may challenge the students' attention spans.
Ability to print out the outline and instructions would facilitate learning.
Ease of Use for Both Students and Faculty
The videos themselves are very easy to use; all that the student has to do is click on the video and watch.
They could, however, be easier to find the desired topic. Navigation with links to topics (an index or contents listing) would make it easier to find desired videos.
Information about the number of videos in a series on a topic would help planning.
The page on which the videos reside is cluttered and difficult to navigate to desired content.
Other Issues and Comments:
Other than the overall page navigation, the content is very good.
