Overview:: The book examines the underlying principles that guide effective teaching in an age when all of us, and in particular the students we teach, use technology. Strengths:: This book offers information that any student of teaching could use in the course of learning to be a teacher. It is a good way to accrue professional development hours without leaving your house. It looks at education from the digital perspective. The material is up to date and the format of the book illustrates the concepts discussed.

Strengths:: This material could be used as professional development or as a textbook in a college class. The appendix can be molded into assignments for students in a teacher education classroom. After reading and studying this text, readers and students should be able to recognize and implement in their classrooms the principles of effective teaching in the digital age.
Concerns:: None. May have to be updated by the author every several years, but the basic principles are sound.

Other Issues and Comments:: The book was compiled in 2015. Although the introduction on the splash page mentions subsequent updates, there were none to be found. The download is free.
