This portal provides access to an extensive selection of educational web sites, reviewed by the staff at Education World and covering a wide variety of subject areas, including science, mathematics, and technology. The resources are arranged alphabetically by topic; each topic is accompanied by a brief overview, including the grade range for which the selected sites are appropriate. Brief descriptions of the recommended web sites follow.

This is an effective tool for an instructor, student or professional interested in educational resources. The materials can be used in-class, for homework, individual work, and as an added resource for teaching

The main strength is the variety of materials for all types of subject. Almost any class in grades 1 to 8 could use some of the materials.

They are easy to find and would work well in many classrooms. There is a brief overview of each material.

Much of the effective use of the material would depend on the teacher and how they include the material as an adjunct to their own textbooks and assignments.

Even as a resource to share with others (for instance, and ID or instructional technologist could recommend this site to teachers), it's excellent.

There are lesson plans, professional development resources, and printable templates.
