Content Quality
Rating:
Strengths:
The material is very rich in content. It covers a number of important topics in artificial intelligence such as probabilistic inference, machine learning, logic representation, etc. It is very useful for students to acqure the basic concept in AI and re-inforce their concepts.
Includes many videos for teaching the material.
Provides practice problems and quizzes to test knowledge.
Provides a wealth of indepth material to learn the basics of AI.
Concerns:
Possiblly an overload of videos and quizzes. This may tire the students out. Consider during learning activities.
As it covers a number of topics which are quite advanced, it requires a certain level of effort to master each of them.
Potential Effectiveness as a Teaching Tool
Rating:
Strengths:
The learning goals of the course are very clear. It help students to re-inforce their concepts. It contains quizzes in each topic for students to do self-assessment. It is easy for instructors to integrate into their courses or for students to self-study.
Very thorough and effective information that progressively takes the student through the basics of AI.
The material goes through the concepts of AI in a understaning manner.
Concerns:
Could better identify on the side information tab what level of skills/understanding is needed?
Ease of Use for Both Students and Faculty
Rating:
Strengths:
The material mainly contains videos and quizzes. The short videos can help engage students in the course. The interface is easy to follow.
Contains a lot of information that is beneficial.
Is easy to follow the flow of the course and to navigate
The course is consistent in the layout from section to section.
Concerns:
The videos are clear, but the resolution/quality can be improved. The quizzes are also built on top of vidoes. It makes the interface not that structured. Here are further comments:
Needs to contain some text information.
Provide insturctions for navigating for the video to the quiz.
Provided a better design for the quizzes instead of using an image from the video and placing radio buttons over the text. These can be hard to see.
Other Issues and Comments:
Overall, is a good course to take for information. It does contain a lot of material in one course. May be a good idea to break this course into multiple courses.
