Strengths:: This site allows users to input simple algebraic problems such as solving equations, graphing equations, solving inequalities, and even checking solutions to a system of equations of two variables. Users are provided with step-by-step solutions. Depending on the type of problem, users may also be provided with a related short video lesson. This calculator could be a helpful resource to College Algebra, Precalculus, or even Calculus I students in that it would allow them to check answers to homework problems or provide help with reviewing prerequisite material.
Concerns:: When graphing a function which has a vertical asymptote, the vertical asymptote is included in the graph which may be confusing to some students. The site does include a disclaimer stating that the calculator is not perfect and should be used “at your own risk”.

Rating:
Strengths:: This site could be very helpful to students who are struggling with basic algebra problems in that it would allow them to check solutions to homework/practice problems. These students would then be better prepared to ask questions and discuss the material .
Concerns:: Although a list of math symbols as well as a tutorial indicating how to format problems has been provided, users who are unfamiliar with typing mathematical expressions will need to be careful as there is no formal equation editor.
