Content Quality
Rating:
Strengths:
This site provides an overview/review of some topics in Differential Calculus. Links to related topics such as nature of real number system are given in appendices. Links to trigonometry and algebra skills are included in the text for each section when needed. Example problems are included in each section. Solutions to these problems are covered in a green box. Users can view the answers by moving the mouse over the green box.
Concerns:
This site might be improved by providing more detailed solutions to the example problems. Users can view solutions, but they may not understand how to obtain the given solution. A direct link to trigonometry section of The Math Page would be helpful.
Potential Effectiveness as a Teaching Tool
Rating:
Strengths:
This would be a great resource to post in the LMS as a reference for Precalculus students or as a review for Calculus students. It could also be utilized by students looking for a self-guided refresher before starting a Calculus course.
Concerns:
None.
Ease of Use for Both Students and Faculty
Rating:
Strengths:
The usage of the site is very straightforward. The content is designed to only use the middle third of my computer screen. This feature makes it very easy to view the material on a smaller screen or device such as a smartphone. This would be very convenient for students looking for a quick review.
Concerns:
None.
