MIL CLICKS is an online collection of learning materials that includes a wide range of capacity-building resources, including curricula development, policy guidelines and articulation, and an assessment system. Self-paced learning is offered for MIL competencies among people. It focused on critical thinking, creativity, literacy, intercultural understanding, citizenship, knowledge, and sustainability, raising awareness of the necessity of media and information literacy at all levels of society.

Recommended Uses:

Students can follow the online course, one unit at a time, and participate in its activities, explore the suggested e-resources, and participate in the discussion forum.

The online book may be studied one chapter at a time as homework, with in-class discussion afterwards. Students can also try the book's learning activities, as well as assess their site's MIL readiness.

Learners can share their MIL experiences on the designative social media platforms, and contribute other resources to the website.

Strengths:: 10 online course units addressing such current concepts as media and information literacy, intercultural dialogue, freedom of expression, the multiple roles of media and advertising in contemporary life, gender representation and stereotyping in the media, challenges and opportunities for youth, and ways of engaging with new technologies for social change. A text for teachers examines MIL from a teaching and administrative perspective. All materials are written via UNESCO experts, and have a global perspective. Materials are self-contained, although most videos are third party links. The rich collection of concepts and supporting eresources enable instructors to use material across curricula and situations. Sources are attributed appropriately.

Strengths:: The learning objects reflect global ICT literacy standards. Both the text and MOOC build knowledge progressively. In the MOOC, the discussion forum helps to relate concepts. Both the MOOC and teacher text are organized for efficient learning and deeper exploration. By describing the learning objectives and clearly displaying prior knowledge and concepts, the site greatly raises and strengthens the teachers' and students' abilities in media and information literacy as a result of the accumulation of quality information. Especially with the MOOC videos and supporting eresources, and the text activities, instructors can easily create meaningful assignments that can support academic and lifelong skills. It is especially useful for incorporating into the curriculum and pedagogy of the field of information and communications technology.

Strengths:: The website is fairly straightforward; its simplistic graphic user interface (GUI) is visually appealing and easy to use for anyone to utilize independently. It looks as if it combined prior material and added social media elements. Technology includes numerous vidoes and live social media connections. The web-based MIL CLICKS element has a dynamic interface that allows users to switch between devices and platforms with ease. As a result of its social media endeavor, it is carried out globally and hence in a variety of languages. It is accessible through any online browser and may be used on a variety of mobile devices and platforms, as well as being ADA-compliant. Users are encouraged to interact and contribute in several ways. A search feature extends beyond MIL Clicks. Contacts are available for help.
Concerns:: Users have to create an individual account (free), noting their email address. Some links and their resources are outdated or broken.
