Content Quality
Rating:
Strengths:
The material is divided into several sections: Getting Started, Planning, Designing, Presenting Introductions and Building Community Engagement Activities Assessing Knowledge Transfer,Concluding,Online Assessment, and forum. There is also a nice reference section and a checklist at the end of the module to gauge if your webinar is on the right track. The author included downloadable checklists. This chapter: http://www.adesinamedia.com/webinars/presenting/introductions-and-building-community/ has excellent suggestions on introductions.
Concerns:
Maybe include some up to date references on webinars. Certain principles, though, such as checking everything ahead of time still stand.
Potential Effectiveness as a Teaching Tool
Rating:
Strengths:
The content in the website increases the potential for teaching and student learning. The materials are relevant and easy to understand.
The chapters are clearly divided and cover each topic thoroughly. It's a very useful guide for classroom discussions and debriefings after conducting a webinar.
Concerns:
This is really a suggestion-not a concern. Keep the downloadable checklists. The interactive list (http://www.adesinamedia.com/webinars/checklist/), really didn't give much feedback even with all the wrong answers. Perhaps just keep the downloadable files.
Ease of Use for Both Students and Faculty
Rating:
Strengths:
The instructions are easy to use and follow. The layout of each page is consistent and robust. The site is easy to navigate and the links work.
