Content Quality
Rating:
Strengths:
The content is valid/accurate/reliable/comprehensive.
The content reflects reality at a basic level.

Since the resource doesn’t have objectives, discussion questions, etc. it limits the flexibility of the material.
While the information is extremely comprehensive, knowledge of general health would be helpful to fully understand the material.
Potential Effectiveness as a Teaching Tool
Rating:
Strengths:
The material is comprehensive and allows the reader to learn a lot in a short amount of time.
The content builds upon psychological concepts, e.g., psychological health was further broken down into stress management, sexual health, etc. and physical health was further broken down into nutrition, environmental, and health choices.
Concerns:
The material would benefit from having objectives and/or discussion questions following each chapter or some other way to gauge learning.
While concepts build upon each other, it would further strengthen this resource if the relationships between the concepts were explained a little more in-depth.
It is only written material with minimal pictures or images.
It is not interactive.
Ease of Use for Both Students and Faculty
Rating:
Strengths:
Terms are well-defined.
Examples were clear.
It was easy to access online.
The material was nicely organized.
Concerns:
The pdf version made navigation of the material difficult. Consider links in the table of content so learners could advance to a section more easily vs. scrolling through the entire document to get to the desired chapter.
Consider adding links to supplemental learning, e.g., video clips, audio clips, etc. so visual and auditory learners would benefit vs. having the entire material read-only.
Other Issues and Comments:
Learners will appreciate the holistic view of health that this resource covers, but more detail would improve the source.
This is the 3rd edition (2018).
There is not an index at the end.
