This textbook was developed as part of the Textbook Transformation Grants for the Affordable Learning Georgia project. Affordable Learning Georgia Grants Collections are intended to provide faculty with the frameworks to quickly implement or revise the same materials as a Textbook Transformation Grants team, along with the aims and lessons learned from project teams during the implementation process. The book was designed to be used in LIBR1101. The Foundations of Information Literacy Course (LIBR1101) course explores the impact of information on academics, work, and life. Students will learn information literacy concepts, theory, and practical applications in order to gain the necessary skills to acquire, evaluate, organize, and present data collected via a variety of media. The knowledge and skills gained in this course create a foundation for academic success and lifelong learning.

As such, the website is informed by scholarship, and provides accurate, current information. The website provides sufficient information and supporting documents to insure substantive learning. Most links work and are appropriately attributed. The modules and "course" can be used across all academic disciplines.
Concerns:
Not all materials are ADA-compliant. Some materials are applicable just to the institution who created the website.
This course could use some updating of content and links. Modules could be consolidated so that topics fall directly within the ACRL Framework

The learned content can then be applied across the spectrum of academic disciplines. To some degree, student learning can be assessed.
