Concerns:
Assumptions of relevance and accuracy as was dated in 2022 and may have changed by this review.
Potential Effectiveness as a Teaching Tool
Rating:
Strengths:
This is a useful tutorial to "support curriculum mapping, analysis, and planning at the course and program levels."
Concerns:
It took almost 10 minutes to get to the content of the learning module in the video, consder addition chapters to the video for easier reviewing.
There are several assumptions of knowledge with lack of listing of prior knowledge needs, consider adding a link to the page for other resources would be helpful to better understand phrases such as backwards design for those participants that may not know the lingo.
Ease of Use for Both Students and Faculty
Rating:
Strengths:
In addition to clear instructions, and a demo to watch, there are links to Help.
The page is clear and has color contrast. Page is short and easy to follow. Video is captioned and pdfs of transcript and slides are included. There are no registration barriers, open use.
Concerns:
There are some accessibility issues with the slides pdf that need addressing, missing alt text and other smaller concerns. Including more resources for the concepts covered. The video and the slides do not match, likely because it is mostly the website, but consider adding screen shots or links to the MAP program within the slides.
