  • The layout and verbiage used in the online book are appropriate for the level at which it will be used. This material is an effective teaching tool because it presents information in short, focused sections with clear learning objectives that help students know exactly what to learn. 
  • The visual aids and graphics also contribute significantly to the reader's understanding of selected respiratory pathophysiology. 
  • The content is easily accessible, easy to navigate, and appears student-friendly.
  • There is also an instructor resources section! 

 

Concerns:

  • Consider adding interactive activities in each chapter to help learners check their understanding. For example, include Knowledge Check questions, such as multiple-choice, true/false, and drag-and-drop labeling of images, to assess learning.

  • There are sequential headings indicating to the reader what to expect within the chapter.
  • There were no videos with the chapters.

  • The textbook is outstanding! The content is well summarized.
  • Accessibility is excellent!
  • One consideration is to add interactive Knowledge Checks with each chapter so learners can test their understanding of the content.
