Teaching-learning goals are described at the beginning of each content area. Learning effectiveness is supported by links to resources and summarized key takeaways.
Learning exercises, such as drag-and-drop, are interactive and promote learning and user knowledge checks.
Content is accurate.
The content is fairly current, but it also includes substantial historical context.
The images are awesome and provide a visual representation of the data described.

Concerns:

The learning exercises are found in a few places. Adding more learning exercises to the chapters would improve the potential for effective learning.

Concerns:

Alt text is not included for all images; for example, the Venn Diagram in Chapter 1 has a caption.
Old-microscopes.jpg is not showing as an image.
Heading 1 is set at the start of each chapter, but not sequential headings (h2, h3, etc) throughout chapters.
References include https links instead of smartlinks.
Chapters include incredible images of data. Chapter 6: Trends in pregnancy-related mortality in the United States image has a basic caption and could be improved by including a text description of the data in the image.
