Content Quality
Rating:
Strengths:
The AI Dimensions model is a clear and concise summary. It has current relevant, accurate information created by academicians. It can be used flexiiby as a stand-alone website. Content is labelled with appropriate attribution.
Concerns:
The information is not clear nor concise and does not provide a complete demonstration of any core concepts grounded in the discipline, nor does the information appear to always be current and relevant. There is little evidence the work presented is informed by scholarship. To use this site one needs to have context provided and direction on what to do at the site. The examples are uneven in quality, and there is not an adequate amount of material provided on any concept introduced or hinted at. Not all links work. This seems like a working document, so more material is needed to be truly useful.
Potential Effectiveness as a Teaching Tool
Rating:
Strengths:
The learning objective reflect ICT literacy standards. Concepts are addressed as different dimenions and groups rather than progressively; thus relationships exist between the dimentions. The dimensions and examples serve as a basis for writing assignments. THe content is applicable to ICT literacy, cross academic disciplines and in daily life.
Concerns:
Prerequities are not identified. The examples are self-contained, uneven in depth and quality, and only loosely connect with each other.
Ease of Use for Both Students and Faculty
Rating:
Strengths:
The website is easy to navigate and use independently, and does not require much technical skill. Users are encouraged to provide examples to add to the collection. Contact information is available.
Concerns:
The website is text-heavy. The examples consist of a long list that is not easily searchable. The website is not ADA-compliant.
Other Issues and Comments:
This site is very confusing and hard to figure out. With sufficient clicking around you can find a free online course to take to learn more about AI literacies, and maybe locate the taxonomy mentioned.
