An excellent tool for reinforcing the breadth of Francophone culture worldwide. This could also be used to reinforce reading comprehension, contemporary vocabulary acquisition, and speaking if used in groups. The section on expressions and proverbs could be a springboard for comparison with sayings from other cultures. The quiz on cooking could lead to an expansion activity where students find recipes and prepare the dishes talked about on the quizzes. These quizzes provide a way to incorporate the national foreign language standard for culture.
