The images and maps give readers a realistic appreciation of Chinese civilization, and they are effectively presented by themes such as architecture, art, and geography. The time line together with the geographic locations of the different empires further gives learners the big picture of the various stages of Chinese civilization.
The module can be enhanced with the addition of more images and descriptions of important studies of Chinese civilization, e.g., the various religions/teachings. For example, it should include Taoism, Confucianism, etc. in addition to Buddhism.
Potential Effectiveness as a Teaching Tool
The images are an effective tool for teaching/learning. There are also PDF files for teachers to print out for use in class.
The materials would benefit from more images
Ease of Use for Both Students and Faculty
