Content Quality
Rating:
Strengths:
A very complete resource for the small business owner interested in developing a web presence. The tutorials range from very basic introductory type to failrly sophisticated. They are well organized by topic so that it would be fairly easy to find a tutorial related to a specific question.

The web site is filled with (sometimes distracting) links to paid content.
Potential Effectiveness as a Teaching Tool
Rating:
Strengths:
The interested student could learn a lot in a short period of time. Although this is classified as a tutorial, it could also be classified as a resource. The range and coverage of topics is extensive. Some of the more advance topis would require more extensive training/education for the student to be able to actually do the task.
Concerns:
None.
Ease of Use for Both Students and Faculty
Rating:
Strengths:
The tutorials and articles are sorted by topic area which makes this site easy to use. Unlike some sites, almost all of the links to tutorials/articles were functioning when I went to this site.
Concerns:
The many links to commercial (not free) resources cause the site to be somewhat "busy."
Other Issues and Comments:
This would be a great resource for the student interested in starting a web based business or developing a web presence for an existing business. Some of the tutorials could be used in the classroom if a fairly simplistic overview was desired. For example the e-mail tutorials include the basics (what is a subject line?), where to find free e-mail accounts, etiquette, and more advance topics such as email marketing.
