Content Quality
Rating:
Strengths:
The site is professionally developed and very well designed. The videos regarding each personality type illustrating the narrative tradition and the interactive use of the Enneagram personality type graphic are extremely effective tools. Overall, the site is very well integrated and current.
Concerns:
The site is almost overwhelming because of the amount of information and number of links embedded on each page of the site.
Students have to pay for the most interesting resources. Perhaps the "level" is a bit low for Higher education but enough for college students
Potential Effectiveness as a Teaching Tool
Rating:
Strengths:
Provides basic insight into the Enneagram and the 9 personality types. Use of embedded video clips for each Enneagram type to illustrate the Narrative Tradition is excellent. The Enneagram 101 file that can be downloaded provides additional reference material and insight.
Concerns:
First, how the Ennegram integrates with the spiritual aspects of the framework is a little unclear. Second, it is unclear as to what theoretical underpinnings the Enneagram is based on. Third, the Instinctual Subtypes Online Test was a little unclear as to how they relate to the Enneagram 9 personality types until I downloaded and read the Enneagram 101 PDF file. Fourth, the cost of testing and materials for high-school/college level students is probably prohibitive. Finally, too much advertising and buy our stuff on nearly every page makes it appear to be more of an advertising type site.
Ease of Use for Both Students and Faculty
Rating:
Strengths:
Professional design and easy to navigate from section-to-section and page-to-page.
Concerns:
It should be explicit what resources are free (register = have to pay for)
Other Issues and Comments:
None.
