Overview:: The purpose of this module is to provide an overview of the key concepts and goals of information security and how information security relates to an organization's information and technology assets.
Type of Material:: Internet or CD Rom delivered instruction.
Recommended Uses:: As a precursor to security policy, where the students have a working understanding of business processes and assets.
Technical Requirements:: multimedia-intensive (video, audio, text, case studies, practice exercises, and quizzes). IE 4 or higher; QuickTime cannot fully access all lessons
Identify Major Learning Goals:: Explore the foundational ideas behind information assurance and security.
Target Student Population:: This material is appropriate for undergraduate students, IT professionals, IT managers, and/or executives.
Prerequisite Knowledge or Skills:: There are a total of 3 lessons, but only the first is available via this resource. The others are available for purchase.

Rating:
Strengths:: The information is very helpful and well presented. A lot of time spent on assets (tangible and intangible) in the beginning.
Concerns:: -Involves a cost for use -May require continued updating for technology changes very structured=hard to skip to the portion that you need

Strengths:: The information on assets is very strong with embedded video, excercises, and case studies.
Concerns:: This is the only part of the complete training that you can access. The other remaining 2 modules are available for purchase in electronic format.

Rating:
Strengths:: A series of "next" and "previous" guide the user throughout the module.
Concerns:: You must follow the exact path as presented by the module.

Other Issues and Comments:: This is only applicable for situations where only assets (types, identification techniques, importance of, etc....) is needed. There seems to be a valuable product as a whole created, but we can only see a very small part of it.
