Content Quality
Rating:
Strengths:
Each slide builds understanding of the concept of product positioning and repositioning. The length of the presentation is terrific for a class lecture.
Concerns:
Used as a lecture this is terrific, for self-guided learning there should be slide notes covering important embedded concepts. I tried to get the audio narration to play on three different machines, and three different browsers. I could next hear the audio.
Potential Effectiveness as a Teaching Tool
Rating:
Strengths:
The discussion on development of a perceptual map is good, and the graphic image to support it is quite nice. The topics covered are appropriate and inclusive for product positioning. Each slide is a progression from the previous slide. Each slide presents concepts, definitions, or examples, and is organized with great expertise.
Concerns:
Important concepts embedded in the presentation are not explained like a SWOT analysis, or Porters Five Forces. In addition, assessment tools, references, or assignments might be suggested.
The audio issues may botherf students; it does detract from the overall presentation.
Ease of Use for Both Students and Faculty
Rating:
Strengths:
This is a presentation with only one diagram, the text is clearly presented and each slide contains enough text, but not too much.
Concerns:
The one visual diagram is needs a legend or an explanation of how the X marks are placed on the diagram.
Other Issues and Comments:
This Power Point presentation contains appropriate considerations for more than business majors. It is a good presentation for general understanding of marketing approaches.
