The learners will be able to identify e-learning challenges and concepts
Target Student Population:

Content Quality
Rating:
Strengths:
This is a nice visual dictionary collection; there are helpful videos about getting started in e-learning as a student or an instructor. The content is made more interesting with the video "A is for Attitude" layout (mnemonic approach is useful).
This would be a great resource to use in instructional design and technology courses. The alphabet /rhyme and explanations are more memorable than a try standard text. They are "lifelike."
Concerns:
The material is not interactive. Unless the learners actively comment on the videos and interview examples, this is mostly a "read and watch" module. It can be used as a supporting "just in time" aid for new e-learning instructors.
Potential Effectiveness as a Teaching Tool
Rating:
Strengths:
Very nice, clear, memorable dictionary of E-learning. The author put in a lot of work into this collection! It's an effective reference material.
Concerns:
As mentioned in Step 3, the content cannot be read at a stretch. The content can be used in particular domain specifc reading material such as in online and distance eduction, simulations & online games.
Please add more resources such as links to Allen Interactions, E-learning Guild, elearning.com , and Learning Solutions Magazine.
Ease of Use for Both Students and Faculty
Rating:
Strengths:
Very clear explanations of each concept (short, sweet, and real life).
Concerns:
Some of the video links didn't load.
Other Issues and Comments:
The author did an immense amount of work on putting this content together. It's a site that should be listed for novices and seasoned instructors in their toolboxes.
Perhaps the layout could be streamlined. There is no need for embedded videos (they don't load). The content is well done and thought out but the site will be even more useful if it's organized a bit more.
