Skills & Interests

  • Mathematics and Statistics / Statistics and Probability / Data Analysis (Beginner)
OK, I'm a rank amateur. My eyes rebel at columns, and I lean on my good old economist husband, Calvin Gogerty, to handle the tax returns. I DO teach my students the rudiments of charts and graphs as argument support, and I "got" statistics enough to get my MS-TESOL! NOTE: I'm out of time -- I'll continue later!
  • Education (Advanced)
Though I am not a teacher trainer, I have a Master's in Education and I have been active in diversity training, accelerated learning, technology in education and faculty development (FLEX). I've participated on Student Learning Outcomes development committees and in Outcomes Assessment workshops, leading one of the latter.
  • Humanities / Religious Studies (Intermediate)
My early education included a heavy dose of training in religious dogma and history and I have explored a number of other spiritual and cultural traditions. I am interested in folklore and world literature and I am a fan of "Parabola" and of Joseph Campbell.
