Academic Support Services / Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (Intermediate)
I've served as a reviewer for Blackboard Exemplary Course Program which began in 2000 with the goal of identifying and disseminating best practices for designing engaging online courses. Using a rubric instructors and course designers are able to evaluate how well their own course conforms to best practices for Course Design, Interaction & Collaboration, Assessment and Learner Support. I also am training to become a Peer reviewer for teaching materials for MERLOT.
Education (Intermediate)
certified teacher PreK to 3rd and K-8 in NJ. Also have a M.Ed in Instructional Technology with an adult concentration.
Science and Technology (Advanced)
I have written successful grants to create and operate a science based summer camp. http://kodiak.fws.gov/salmon_camp.htm I have also volunteered as a grant reviewer for NOAA in the B-Wet grant program.
