LEAD Center         

A comprehensive resource that provides policy research and recommendations, training, and technical assistance to advance innovative employment outcomes and greater financial stability for Americans with disabilities. 

Partnership on Employment & Accessible Technology (PEAT) 

A program to pomote the employment, retention, and career advancement of Americans with disabilities through the development, adoption, and promotion of accessible technology.

Workforce Recruitment Program     

A free recruitment and referral program managed by the U.S. Departments of Labor and Defense that connects federal employers to postsecondary students and recent graduates with disabilities.

Your resource that provides state-focused tools and free technical assistance to help build large-scale capacity in state-level youth service delivery and workforce systems.

A free resource to help employers recruit, hire, retain, and advance Americans with disabilities through dissemination, collaboration, and technical assistance.

Job Accommodation Network (JAN)      

 An integration of systems offering expert and confidential guidance of workplace accommodations for workers, employers, and practitioners. 

Tools for Managing Success for Employees with Disabilities

ODEP has designed template agreements between prospective and existing employees with disabilities that guide them through learning activities that prepare them for becoming excellent employees. There are different levels of work required for these agreements (Gold, Silver, Bronze) that let's you choose the template that will best meets the needs of the people engaged in the agreement.


Fundamentals of Universal Design for Learning (UDL)   

A clear and brief presentation of the key concepts and strategies for planning and implementing UDL principles in the workplace.

Employer Toolkit for UDL  

A user-friendly tools sharing concepts and strategies for employers to overcome barriers in working with people with disabilities and better foster an inclusive culture and meet federal accessibility requirements.

  • Web Accessibility Perspectives Videos:   W3C created the videos to demonstrate several accessibility barriers by various groups.
  • Learn NVDA: A Free Screen Reader for Windows:  Videos are available through the American Foundation for the Blind and include various topics including, Navigating Microsoft Windows, Hotkeys, Using the internet among many other topics.
  • Assistive Technology Videos:  Computer/Electronic Accommodations Program videos various topics on different types of assistive technology.
  • CAP Online Employee Understanding Videos:  Computer/Electronic Accommodations Program training series on understanding employees with disabilities and wounded, ill and injured service members. Addressing reasonable accommodations.
