Objectives: 1. Students will know that
factors have good and bad effects on our planet. 2. Students will read aloud
narrative and expository text with fluency and proper intonation.
CDE Science:
Life Sciences 3c. Students know living things cause changes in the environment
in which they live: some of these changes are detrimental to the organism or
other organisms, and some are beneficial.
CDE Language Arts: Reading 1.2 Decode
regular multisyllabic words. 1.3 Read aloud narrative and expository text
fluently and accurately and with appropriate pacing, intonation, and expression.

Critical Teacher Tasks: 1. This
is an individual activity. 2. Coordinate help from peer helpers. 3. It is a
reading activity. 4. Teacher must successfully navigate the websites. 5. Teacher
will facilitate the instruction and discussion. 6. This is a 1-2 day activity.
7. This will practice fluency/comprehension.
Critical Student Tasks: 1. Students
will work alone. 2. Students will work as peer helpers ( when needed). 3.
Students will read Internet text and view the pictures. 4. Students will use
dictionaries to define assigned terms (if needed). 5. Students will ask
questions and record data from observations. 6. Students will work hard and
effectively. 7. Students will refer to the E/A rubric for expectations. 8.
Students will orally read Internet text to the class.
Assessment: Informally
through teacher observation. Formally by using the effort and achievement
